WORCESTER, MA — Worcester audiences will have three opportunities to see nationally recognized Broadway performers in an intimate downtown setting during Broadway in Worcester’s 2026-2027 season at the BrickBox Theater.
The season will feature two-time Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, Tony Award winner Stephanie J. Block and Emmy-nominated performer Tituss Burgess. Each artist will appear for a separate one-night performance at the Jean McDonough Arts Center, commonly known as JMAC.
Broadway in Worcester announced the season after becoming an official resident company of JMAC in late 2025. The designation deepened the organization’s partnership with The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory for the Performing Arts, which operates the downtown arts center.
For Worcester residents, the series adds three Broadway-focused performances to the city’s arts calendar without requiring travel to Boston or New York. All three events will take place inside the BrickBox Theater, a smaller performance space within JMAC.
Victoria Clark opens the season in October
Victoria Clark will begin the season on Oct. 16, 2026, with “Improbable Ingenue: Stories and Songs from a Not-So-Brief Career in the Theater.”
Clark won Tony Awards for her performances in “The Light in the Piazza” and “Kimberly Akimbo.” According to the season announcement, her Worcester appearance will combine Broadway standards, original material, career stories and audience participation.
She will be accompanied by John McDaniel, an Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner.
Stephanie J. Block scheduled for December
Stephanie J. Block will perform “Merry Christmas, Darling” on Dec. 9, 2026.
Block received a Tony Award for her performance in “The Cher Show.” Her Worcester program is expected to include holiday music, Broadway selections and storytelling connected to the season.
Tituss Burgess to perform in March
Tituss Burgess will close the announced season with a concert on March 12, 2027.
Burgess is known for his Emmy-nominated role in “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and for appearances in productions including “Schmigadoon!,” “Oh, Mary!,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Guys and Dolls,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Jersey Boys.”
The concert is expected to include selections from classic and contemporary musical theater, along with songs associated with artists including John Mayer, Shirley Bassey and Bette Midler.
Subscription prices and ticket schedule
Subscription packages are currently available through The Hanover Theatre, its box office and by phone.
Two-show packages range from $128 to $228. Three-show packages range from $207 to $342. Final pricing depends on the selected performances, seating level and availability.
The organization said subscriptions may provide up to $45 in savings and include guaranteed seats. Individual tickets for all three performances are scheduled to go on sale July 28.
Broadway in Worcester’s local role
Broadway in Worcester was founded by Eric Butler in 2022. Previous performers presented by the organization include Laura Benanti, Kelli O’Hara, Jessie Mueller and the late Chita Rivera.
The organization’s resident-company status places its programming within JMAC, which includes the BrickBox Theater, PopUp Gallery, classrooms, studios and the Francis R. Carroll Plaza in downtown Worcester.
