WORCESTER, MA — The Bra Shop, a specialty bra and lingerie boutique that has operated in downtown Worcester since 2021, is preparing to open a second location in Wellesley this November.

The new store will be located at 22 Church Street in Wellesley, according to a press release from the company. It will be the shop’s first location outside Worcester since it opened five years ago.

“We have built a reputation as the premier destination for bra shopping,” said Stephanie Ramey, president of The Bra Shop, in the release. “Women often travel more than an hour to meet with our team, learn about proper fit and have access to an abundance of styles and sizes. Opening in Wellesley gives us an opportunity to bring that experience to a new community and make professional bra fitting more accessible to women throughout MetroWest and Greater Boston.”

The Bra Shop carries band sizes 28 to 48-plus and cup sizes A to O, along with lingerie, loungewear, sleepwear, gifts and accessories. According to the company, its approach centers on one-on-one fittings with trained specialists, who work with customers to find the right style and shape rather than relying only on a standard band and cup size. The company said education is part of every fitting, so customers understand how a bra should fit when shopping in the future.

The Worcester store opened in 2021 and has since drawn customers from across Massachusetts and beyond, according to the company. The Wellesley location will carry many of the same brands available in Worcester, along with what the company described as an expanded assortment selected for the Wellesley market.

“We know there is an underserved market for lingerie and, in particular, access to professionals who truly understand bra fitting,” Ramey said. “What we do is unique, personalized, and important. We are excited to bring that experience to more women while becoming part of the Wellesley community.”

The Wellesley store is expected to open in November. According to the company, fittings will be available by appointment, and walk-in shopping will also be welcome. The company has not announced a specific opening date.
