In an exciting development for aspiring culinary entrepreneurs in Worcester, the Worcester Regional Food Hub, in collaboration with EforAll and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, is rolling out a groundbreaking multi-week course titled “Launching Diverse Food Entrepreneurs in Worcester.” This initiative aims to empower individuals with a passion for food to transform their dreams into licensed, successful businesses.

Free Program Supported by Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation

The program comes at no cost to participants, thanks to the generous funding provided by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation. This initiative reflects a commitment to fostering diversity in the food industry and supporting local talent in Worcester.

Comprehensive Curriculum and Licensing Opportunities

Participants in this program will embark on a comprehensive curriculum covering crucial aspects of launching a food business. From business planning and basic accounting to culinary skills and equipment expertise, attendees will gain a well-rounded education. Upon successful completion, participants will obtain a licensed food business through the Worcester Regional Food Hub.

Legal Compliance and Risk Mitigation

Understanding the importance of legal compliance, participants will secure a Worcester or Fitchburg business license and a food establishment permit, ensuring that their culinary ventures adhere to local regulations. The program also includes the provision of food liability insurance, offering participants a layer of protection as they navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.

Digital Presence and Market Access

In the digital age, establishing a strong online presence is paramount. Participants will receive guidance on building and maintaining a robust social media profile for their food businesses. Additionally, the program offers insights into accessing markets and expanding their reach to a broader audience.

Workspace Privileges and Networking Opportunities

Enrollees will enjoy free membership and access to the top-notch facilities at the Worcester Regional Food Hub or Fitchburg Public Market Kitchen. Furthermore, participants will gain a complimentary membership with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, opening doors to networking opportunities and potential collaborations.

Business Accelerator Opportunity

As an added incentive, program participants will have the chance to apply to the EforAll Business Accelerator, a valuable opportunity to propel their entrepreneurial journey to new heights, all at no additional cost.

Class Details and Application Deadline

Classes will be conducted every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, commencing on March 5 and concluding on April 30 (with no class on April 16 for the school vacation week). The venue for this transformative course will be the Clark University campus.

Aspiring food entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply before the application deadline on Tuesday, February 16. Interested individuals can submit their applications at [https://bit.ly/launchingdiversefood](https://bit.ly/launchingdiversefood).
