The Summer Jam Classic is returning to Worcester this summer for its 10th annual event, marking a decade of basketball, community engagement, youth empowerment, and local culture.

Hosted by Bosa Sports & Community, the Summer Jam Classic has grown into one of Worcester’s well-known community events, bringing together athletes, families, local organizations, vendors, community leaders, and residents for a celebration centered on competition and connection.

Organizers say the event has always been about more than basketball. Over the past 10 years, Summer Jam Classic has created space for youth mentorship, positive community experiences, family resources, entertainment, and direct connection between residents and local organizations.

“Summer Jam Classic has always been about more than basketball,” organizers from Bosa Sports & Community said. “It’s about bringing people together, creating positive experiences for our youth, and showing the power of community when we invest in each other.”

A Decade of Community Impact

Since its start, the Summer Jam Classic has blended sports with community-building. The event gives athletes a platform to compete while also creating a family-friendly environment where residents can connect with local businesses, community groups, and service organizations.

This year’s 10th anniversary event is expected to feature high-level basketball competition, community programming, local vendors, entertainment, giveaways, and opportunities for organizations and businesses to engage directly with the community.

The milestone year also highlights the ongoing work of Bosa Sports & Community, which has continued to support Worcester residents through programs and events focused on mentorship, outreach, wellness, and community connection.

In addition to Summer Jam Classic, Bosa Sports & Community has also been involved in other community-centered efforts, including Fall Jam Classic and Dunking Cancer.

More Than a Basketball Event

For organizers, Summer Jam Classic represents the role sports can play in building relationships, encouraging young people, and creating positive spaces across Worcester.

The event’s continued growth reflects the support of athletes, families, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and community partners who have helped make the Summer Jam Classic a recurring part of Worcester’s summer calendar.

Community members, sponsors, and local organizations are encouraged to support this year’s event as organizers prepare to celebrate 10 years of impact.

For sponsorship opportunities, partnership information, or event updates, community members can contact Bosa Sports & Community through the Summer Jam Classic Committee.
