WORCESTER, MA — What do you get when you mix live orchestral music, outer space, and the immersive dome of a planetarium? A show that’s literally out of this world.

On Saturday, August 9, the EcoTarium is turning up the cosmic vibes with two special performances of the Mars Symphony, an interplanetary concert experience inside the Alden Planetarium. Led by composer and conductor David Ibbett, this multimedia event brings the sights and sounds of Mars to life, backed by a live chamber orchestra from the Multiverse Concert Series.

Created in collaboration with the Museum of Science, Boston, and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, the Mars Symphony is more than a concert—it’s a journey. Under the planetarium dome, attendees will be wrapped in visuals of the Martian landscape while listening to an original score inspired by the Red Planet itself.

Whether you’re into classical music, science, or just looking for something unique to do in Worcester, this is one event you don’t want to miss.
