Reclaiming the Castle: Main South Community Cookout Prepares for Inaugural Festival with a Call for Volunteers
August 10, 2023
Worcester, MA – The Main South community is gearing up for a momentous event as they prepare to host their first annual “Reclaiming the Castle” Festival. Scheduled to take place on August 26, 2023, from 8 AM to 12 PM, the festival aims to bring together community members and organizations in a collective effort to clean and revitalize the local park.
Organized by dedicated community members, the “Reclaiming the Castle” initiative is inviting individuals and groups to join in their efforts to restore the Castle Park to its former glory. The park holds a special place in the hearts of Main South residents, and the community cookout serves as a rallying call to come together and reclaim this beloved gathering space.
In a bid to ensure the success of this endeavor, volunteers are being sought to participate in a park cleanup and setup session. The park cleanup will kick off at 8 AM, and volunteers will be tasked with various activities such as litter removal, landscaping, and setting up event spaces. To sweeten the deal, free food will be provided for all volunteers, creating a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for their hard work.
David Jerry, a key organizer of the event, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “The Castle Park has so many memories and celebrations over the years. Our aim is to rejuvenate this space and create an environment that fosters community connection. We invite everyone to come out and lend a hand to make this festival a grand success.”

As part of the festivities, the “Reclaiming the Castle” Festival will also feature exciting activities for attendees. The event will showcase a three-on-three basketball tournament, a spades tournament, and a dominoes tournament, offering participants a chance to engage in friendly competition and vie for cash prizes. In addition, free entry to the festival will be granted to all attendees, ensuring that the celebrations are open and accessible to the entire Main South community.
The “Reclaiming the Castle” Festival is poised to be a remarkable event that not only beautifies a cherished community space but also strengthens the bonds that hold the Main South community together. With a blend of volunteerism, recreation, and togetherness, this festival is a testament to the power of collective action and community pride.

I have had Firefox, IE, and Google chrome downloaded onto my computer for a while now with no problem. Recently I downloaded YIM and now Firefox doesn’t start up. If I restart my computer a few times, and try to open it a few dozen times each time I restart, it will eventually pop up. How do I fix it? Chrome and IE still work fine but I prefer Firefox..
