Worcester Fire Department Conducts Rapid Intervention Training at Curtis Apartments

The training session took a unique turn as crews utilized a vacant building within the Curtis Apartments, slated for demolition to make way for new, modern apartments at the Worcester Housing Authority (WHA).

The primary focus of the training was to prepare firefighters for challenging scenarios involving zero visibility conditions. To simulate realistic and hazardous environments, a smoke machine was employed within the soon-to-be-demolished Curtis Apartments.
