The Worcester Cares About Recovery event brought together community members, service providers, and advocates to shine a light on the work being done to support individuals and families affected by addiction. What’s Up Worcester was on-site, with Jackie Monteiro of W.S.R. & Wellness Coaching leading the interviews and bringing her expertise in wellness and recovery to the conversations.
Caroline Root – Worcester County District Attorney’s Office
Caroline Root spoke about the DA’s ongoing efforts to address addiction through both accountability and access to resources. Her perspective underscored the importance of working across agencies to ensure that individuals facing substance use challenges are met with support as well as structure.
Michael Earielo & Roberta Nelson – Everyday Miracles
From Everyday Miracles, Program Director Michael Earielo and Coach Roberta Nelson shared how their work provides not just services, but a sense of belonging. They emphasized the role of peer support and coaching in building trust, resilience, and hope for those in recovery.
