As Worcester continues to evolve and grow, economic development remains at the heart of shaping its future. One such opportunity to engage with this growth is the Standing Committee on Economic Development, which will meet on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 4:00 PM. This meeting will be held at the historic Esther Howland Chamber in Worcester City Hall, located at 455 Main Street.

The Esther Howland Chamber, named after the pioneering artist and businesswoman Esther Howland, offers an ideal setting for such impactful discussions. Known as the “Mother of the American Valentine,” Esther’s work transformed the greeting card industry and helped popularize Valentine’s Day cards in America. She was a true visionary in both art and business, and her legacy continues to inspire Worcester today.

At the Standing Committee on Economic Development meeting, key issues and developments shaping Worcester’s economy will be discussed, with a focus on how to best support businesses, foster innovation, and ensure a thriving community for residents and future generations. This meeting offers a unique chance to learn more about Worcester’s vision for economic growth and how you can contribute to the city’s progress.

For those who cannot attend in person, the meeting will be available online. You can join via Zoom by using the following link: Standing Committee on Economic Development Zoom Meeting, or dial in at (929) 205-6099 and use access code: 910 2676 6826.

This meeting is an important opportunity to stay informed and involved in the city’s economic development plans. Whether you attend in person or virtually, your participation will help shape the future of Worcester.
