Greater Worcester Community Foundation Awards Over $1 Million to Support Basic Needs Across Worcester County

The Greater Worcester Community Foundation announced the distribution of $1,045,000 to nonprofits across Worcester County to support essential services including housing, food access, healthcare, and immigrant support.
According to the Foundation, the funding comes from two anonymous donors outside the region who made contributions in response to recent federal funding cuts and policy changes affecting social services.
“We are thrilled to be able to make these investments at a time when nonprofits are particularly stretched,” said Pete Dunn, President and CEO of the Foundation.

Housing and Shelter
- $200,000 to CMHA: The Housing Alliance
- $100,000 to RCAP Solutions
Food Security
- $115,000 to expand the Foundation’s Fund to End Hunger
Healthcare
