WORCESTER, MA – The grand opening of the Femme Bar in Worcester, Massachusetts, was a highly anticipated event for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. The first queer women’s bar of its kind in New England, the Femme Bar is a safe space for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their friends, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility.

On the night of the grand opening, Worcester City Mayor Joe Petty, Senator Mike Moore, and Senator Robyn were among the attendees, showing their support for this important addition to the city’s cultural landscape.

The owners of the Femme Bar, Danielle and Julie, were thrilled to see so many people turn out for the event.

“We’ve been working so hard to make this dream a reality, and to see it all come together like this is amazing,” Danielle said. “We wanted to create a space where people can feel comfortable and free to be themselves, and it’s incredible to see so many people responding to that.”

Guests were treated to a menu full of delicious and creative dishes, with a focus on fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The bar’s mocktail menu was a particular hit, with a range of non-alcoholic drinks that were just as tasty and refreshing as their boozy counterparts.

The atmosphere at the Femme Bar was warm and welcoming, with a focus on creating a space where everyone could feel comfortable and respected. The staff was dedicated to making sure that all patrons felt seen and heard, and the gender-neutral restrooms were just one example of the bar’s commitment to inclusivity.

Guests at the grand opening were enthusiastic about the Femme Bar and what it represents for the LGBTQIA+ community in Worcester and beyond.

“I think it’s amazing that we finally have a queer women’s bar in New England,” said Tina, a local resident who identifies as bisexual. “It’s such an important space for people like us to feel seen and heard. I’m so excited to come back here with my friends.”

Another guest, Sam, who identifies as genderqueer, said that they were impressed by the bar’s commitment to accessibility.

The presence of community leaders at the grand opening was a powerful statement of support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Worcester. Mayor Joe Petty, Senator Mike Moore, and Senator Robyn Kennedy all spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces for all.

“We are so proud to have the Femme Bar in our city,” Mayor Petty said. “This is a space where people can come together, be themselves, and celebrate their identities. We need more places like this, where everyone can feel safe and supported.”

Overall, the grand opening of the Femme Bar was a resounding success, with guests and community leaders alike expressing their enthusiasm and support for this important new space. With its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and community-building, the Femme Bar is sure to be a beloved
