What’s Up Worcester! College of the Holy Cross came alive this past Monday with an event that reminded us why our city is more than just a place to live—it’s a community worth celebrating. From the moment people arrived, the energy was undeniable.
Community in Full Force
Dozens of local organizations showed up ready to share their work, resources, and love for the Woo. From nonprofits to grassroots groups, the lineup highlighted just how much Worcester has to offer. Every table had something unique, connections were made, ideas were sparked, and neighbors left knowing a little more about the city they call home.
Two partners helping make the day even more meaningful were the Division of Justice, Equity, Belonging & Identity and the Worcester House at the College of the Holy Cross.
The Division’s mission is clear: to cultivate a culture where every individual feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute their voice. Their goals include challenging unjust structures, fostering spaces for dialogue, and ensuring access so that everyone feels deeply seen and equipped to build a more just world. Their presence at the event underscored that Worcester’s strength comes from embracing every perspective and lifting every voice.

Meanwhile, the Worcester House at Holy Cross, located at 4A City View Street, brought a unique connection point for the city. Designed primarily as a space for commuter students, the house has become a hub for community and Worcester-facing engagement. Fully ADA accessible and complete with study spaces, a kitchen, and even games like cornhole and spikeball, the Worcester House serves as a bridge between campus life and the city itself. By offering meeting space for student groups, opportunities for neighbors to attend Holy Cross athletic events, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere, the Worcester House embodies what this event was all about: community, connection, and belonging.
Flavor + Vibes
The food? Absolutely on point. From savory plates to sweet treats, vendors brought their best, and Worcester showed up hungry. Add in a live soundtrack that had everybody moving, and you had a vibe that was equal parts family reunion and block party. Smiles, laughter, and great conversations carried through the entire day.
Capturing the Moment with DroneCHCK
Of course, no celebration is complete without capturing those moments that words alone can’t describe. That’s where DroneCHCK came in. Her drone footage gave us a whole new view of the crowd, the music, and the movement stitched together into cinematic visuals that keep the memories alive long after the last song faded.
DroneCHCK’s mission says it best: “We capture real moments, honor local stories, create cinematic visuals, and keep memories alive. Rooted in Central Massachusetts. Flying for community, creativity, and culture.” That’s exactly what they delivered.
Looking Ahead
Events like this prove what happens when Worcester comes together: food, music, culture, and community in perfect harmony. With the Division of Justice, Equity, Belonging & Identity and the Worcester House at Holy Cross College joining the effort, the impact goes even deeper, showing how collaboration fuels real community connection.
What’s Up Worcester was proud to be part of the day and even prouder to spotlight the incredible people and organizations that make the city thrive.
Because at the end of the day, Worcester isn’t just what’s happening; it’s what’s possible when we come together.
