Worcester RMV moving from Main Street to former Big Y Supermarket in the Southwest Cutoff Plaza
On Monday, the Worcester Registry of Motor Vehicles provider center will formally inaugurate its new location.
Starting Friday at 5 p.m., Main Street’s vicinity will be off-limits to commercial activity.
The RMV is moving to the former Big Y Supermarket at the Southwest Cutoff Plaza from its Main Street location. MassDOT had anticipated the middle to open in the fall of 2021 and signed a lease arrangement for the gap in early 2021.
The new service center will include plenty of parking, a user-friendly design, a place to apply for permits, and a route to test out motorcycles. Additionally, it has a WRTA bus stop just in front of the capacity.
