Worcester Police Arrest Suspect Linked to Banner Bar Break-In
In the early hours of October 12, 2024, at approximately 5:30 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the Banner Bar and Grill on Green Street after receiving a report of a past break-in. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the business had been forcibly entered, and several items had been stolen. Investigators worked to piece together evidence and, after further review, identified thirty-year-old Rafael Perez-Crespi as the primary suspect in the crime.
Based on their findings, officers had enough probable cause to charge Perez-Crespi with Breaking and Entering at Nighttime for a Felony and Vandalism. A warrant for his arrest was promptly issued.
On October 15, during a routine patrol near City Hall, a Worcester police officer spotted Mr. Perez-Crespi. The officer recognized him from the ongoing investigation and immediately placed him under arrest on the outstanding warrant. Perez-Crespi now faces charges related to the break-in, and the investigation remains ongoing.
