Tragic Drowning Claims Life of 4-Year-Old Boy in Worcester


WORCESTER— A heartbreaking incident unfolded Tuesday evening when a 4-year-old boy drowned in Lake Quinsigamond.
Worcester Police responded to a call just after 5 p.m. near Bridle Path for a report of an unresponsive child. Upon arrival, officers located the boy at a nearby home and were informed he had been found unresponsive in the lake.
Bridle Path borders the edge of Lake Quinsigamond, a popular spot during warmer months. First responders transported the child to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

As of now, authorities have not released the child’s name or provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
