Polar Park 2026: Earliest Start Ever & The “Glow” Return
WORCESTER — If you think it’s too cold to talk baseball, think again. The Worcester Red Sox just dropped their 2026 operational calendar, and we are breaking records before the first pitch is even thrown.
1. The Historic March Start
Blink and it’s baseball season. Polar Park will open for the 2026 season on Friday, March 27—the earliest Opening Day in the history of the Triple-A affiliate.
- The Matchup: The WooSox host the Syracuse Mets for a three-game opening weekend.
- The Celebration: 2026 marks the 5th Anniversary of Polar Park, which officially opened its gates on May 11, 2021. Expect a season-long “high-five” to the fans who have pushed the park past the 500,000-ticket threshold for four consecutive years.
2. The “Cosmic” Return
The viral sensation Cosmic Baseball is officially back. After selling out two games in just four hours last year, the Tri-City Chili Peppers are bringing their neon, glow-in-the-dark spectacle back to Worcester on Saturday, August 1, 2026. 1
The Ticket Hack: Don’t wait for the general sale—you will lose. The ticket lottery is open now. Randomly selected fans will get first dibs on the GA bowl seats.
3. Expanded Community Partnerships
Fallon Health has extended its founding partnership through 2028. Starting this season, Fallon is sponsoring all accessible seating locations throughout the ballpark, making Polar Park one of the most inclusive venues in Minor League Baseball.
Silver Slugger Dates: Mark your calendars for April 23 and August 26 for special senior-focused programming sponsored by Fallon.
