WORCESTER Music Worcester has outlined its spring performance schedule, which will bring a variety of classical, jazz, and dance productions to local venues. The upcoming lineup features international artists and ensembles performing at Mechanics Hall, the Jean McDonough Arts Center (JMAC), and The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts.

The spring programming begins with a weekend celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach. The New York-based baroque ensemble The Sebastians will perform Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos on Friday, March 20, at 8 p.m. at Mechanics Hall. The performance is scheduled to run for approximately two and a half hours, with tickets starting at $60.

On Thursday, March 26, jazz vocalist Catherine Russell and pianist Sean Mason will perform at the JMAC. The duo recently received a Grammy nomination for their debut collaborative album. They will present a 90-minute program of jazz standards and popular classics starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for this event begin at $55.

Classical piano will be highlighted on Friday, April 17, when Alexandre Kantorow performs at Mechanics Hall. Kantorow, who played during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, will present a two-hour program featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Liszt. The performance begins at 8 p.m., with tickets starting at $60.

The spring season concludes on Saturday, May 9, with a performance by the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Co-presented with The Hanover Theatre, the 7:30 p.m. show will feature a mix of classical and contemporary ballet. The program includes choreography by George Balanchine, Jodie Gates, and the company’s artistic director, Robert Garland. The performance is set to music ranging from classical composers like Antonín Dvořák to soul artists James Brown and Aretha Franklin. Tickets for the finale start at $49.
