Tough Start to 2024 for Holy Cross Women’s Ice Hockey Team
The Holy Cross women’s ice hockey team kicked off the new year facing a formidable challenge against Northeastern, resulting in a challenging 6-1 loss on Friday, Jan. 5.
Facing off against the Huskies, who boast an impressive record of 13-8-0 overall and 8-6-0 in Hockey East, the Crusaders found themselves trailing early on. Northeastern swiftly secured a 2-0 lead in the opening period, setting a strong foundation for their dominant performance. The Huskies further extended their lead with an additional three goals in the second period, creating a substantial five-goal deficit for Holy Cross to overcome.

Freshman forward Reghan Chadwick emerged as a beacon of hope for Holy Cross, managing to capitalize on a power-play opportunity and secure a crucial goal.
