Prosecutors claim that in April 2022, Gallagher messaged the child on social media and inquired, if the victim was underaged , the victim stated that he was 14. Gallagher is accused of asking the juvenile to provide him an indecent picture of himself after sending the youngster two explicit pictures of himself and showing interest in meeting the kid in person
28-year-old Andrew James Gallagher a Worcester man was charged with one count of providing pornographic material to a child. On December 23, he was charged in federal court in Worcester and given a conditional release. Gallagher had already been charged in a complaint filed on December 5 and was taken into custody the next day.
From the profile used by the minor, investigators gathered subscriber data, user images, and chat logs. They also examined conversations between “ajg93” and the minor. Between April 5 and April 8, the 28-year-old man and the child had no contact at all.
According to an affidavit, officials were able to follow the trail of “ajg93” to a Google email address with a subscriber named “Andrew Gallagher” and a related contact number.
