Young man loses his life on a Massachusetts highway after being hit by “multiple cars”
After a 27-year-old man was fatally struck on a congested roadway on Saturday night, a hit-and-run inquiry is currently under way.
According to state police, it is unknown whether any of the drivers knew they had struck a person. Police reported that no cars made a stop.
Just after 11:30 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police responded to a complaint of a person being struck on Route 290 in Worcester.
Police say that after determining that a 27-year-old Worcester man had been hit by several vehicles, troopers pronounced him dead at the scene.
The reason the individual was on the road at that time is being looked into by the police. Investigations are still ongoing in this case.
