Worcester Police Search for Armed and Dangerous Suspect in Burncoat Street Murder Case
Worcester, MA – Worcester police are asking for the public’s help in locating 23-year-old Kelvin Verde, who has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Andrew T. Barley. Police have issued an active warrant for Verde’s arrest and have described him as a dangerous individual.
On Friday, Worcester police released a wanted poster for Verde, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. According to the authorities, Verde should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should not approach him but should immediately call 911.
Police have already arrested a Webster man in connection with the killing of Andrew T. Barley. Berny A. Calderon Jr., 25, has been charged with murder and is currently in police custody. The Worcester Police Department is continuing its investigation into the killing and is asking for anyone with information on Verde’s whereabouts to come forward.
“We are working tirelessly to bring those responsible for this tragic and violent crime to justice,” said Worcester Police Chief Steven M. Sargent. “We are counting on the public’s help in locating Kelvin Verde and we are confident that with their assistance, we will be able to bring him into custody.”
